Washington DC Earth Day 2014 ~ Cucumber and Hummus Cupcakes

On Tuesday we celebrated Earth Day to promote environmental awareness and green initiatives. Design Cuisine is a 2 Star Certified Green Restaurant taking proactive steps such as being 100% Styrofoam-free, reducing waste by 50% just through recycling, and implementing the 46 steps in the Six Environmental Categories (Energy, Water, Waste, Food, Packaging and Chemicals). In honor of Earth Day here’s a refreshing green hors d’oeuvre ~ Cucumber and Hummus Cupcake with red pepper. It’s even vegan! Happy Earth Day!!
