The associate level is the first step towards becoming a Design Cuisine Account Executive, the primary responsibilities of this position include learning from and supporting a senior executive in maintaining client accounts by assisting or directly creating menus, managing staff requests, designing custom looks and ordering rental equipment as well as other services for clients.
Successful Sales Associates have a passion for the special events and food industry, are polished and professional both in person and over the phone, and maintain a meticulous eye for detail and great sense of timeliness with regard to meeting deadlines.
You must be able to work in a fast paced, creative selling environment with solid understanding of food and design. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, and must be able to work effectively within a team, and take constructive criticism as well as direction from superiors and colleagues. The schedule for this position demands you prioritize attending events in the DC metro area which may take place nights, weekends, holidays and early mornings. You must have reliable transportation, and want your career track to be that of a catering sales & special events executive.
