We have the honor of being the exclusive caterer for some of the most prestigious destinations and thrilling events. These noteworthy moments call for meticulous planning for up to thousands of guests, designed to suit the mood and atmosphere of the occasion – and offer plenty of surprises.

Preakness Stakes

Preakness Stakes is an annual thoroughbred horse race held every May in Baltimore, Maryland. With clubhouse and suite seating, catering Preakness has given us the opportunity to partner with celebrity chefs and create custom-curated menus for VIP areas. Over the course of three days, Design Cuisine served more than 10,000 people at the Pimlico Race Course.

The Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, DC is one of the longest-running, most prestigious tennis tournaments, and the only combined
ATP & WTA 500 tournament in the world, held annually in Rock Creek Park.
Design Cuisine manages and operates the full food and beverage program
for the event’s entire 10-day schedule, including full catering to VIP suites and major sponsorship lounges, specialty cocktail programs thematic to each location at the stadium, and partnerships with celebrity chefs and local DMV-area restaurants. Over the course of the tournament, Design Cuisine serves
more than 50,000 patrons.

The Inn At Little Washington

The Inn at Little Washington is the first and only 3 Star Michelin restaurant in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Led by Chef Patrick O’Connell, the restaurant draws crowds to Washington, Virginia for its renowned food and atmosphere. The Inn selected Design Cuisine as its exclusive catering partner on menus for on-premise events of more than 100 people.

Inaugural Events

The lead-up to Inauguration Day is filled with catered events across Washington, DC, often attended by upward of 2,000 guests. Design Cuisine is essential to many of these festivities, including the Candlelight Dinner at Union Station held the night before the Inauguration, as well as the day-of Inaugural Luncheon at the Capitol. Pre-Inaugural balls hosted by various state societies throughout the region also choose Design Cuisine for catering needs. These events, meticulously catered and executed, are attended by presidents, dignitaries, and the influential who’s who of DC.
